Bingo fury installation

2020
Bingo Fury
A music band who were creating a music video for a new release ‘happy snake’.
installation
I set up a motor installation for their music video which consisted of using a motor that rotates at 1 RPM and attaching it some meters up across the beams. From there I was able to attach metal rods where I would attach fabrics to later and fasten the electrics to ensure that the installation was safe and suitable to use.
After ensuring everything was installed correctly I hung a series of fabrics from the metal rods and arranged them in a way that they hung, overlapped and connected to one another in a symbiotic and visually beautiful way.

the brief
The brief was just to build an installation that has movement, bold colours and a dramatic effect.
I found this a very enjoyable project to put my works into that context and display them in this playful and theatrical way. They looked incredibly beautiful on camera, they captured light very well and had a delicate yet powerful movement to them.
Overall this project was a joy, a lot of fun and experimental in terms of contextualising the art works and working in a different way.
On-going relationship with bingo fury
From this collaboration I have had an on-going relationship with Bingo Fury having done a couple of the set designs for their gigs.
Using different prints for their backdrops and finding a fun aesthetic with them. We have a very symbiotic nature together where my prints bring their stage alive and their music bring the prints a live.
It is a great collaborative basis and I hope to work on my collaborative and symbiotic projects like this.
